This notice is provided by Gardenist ("Company") as data controller under Turkish Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data ("KVKK"), to inform visitors, members and customers about how their personal data is processed. Our current contact details are available on the Contact page.
The data we process comprises your identity details (name, surname; tax ID for corporate invoices), contact details (e-mail, phone, delivery and billing addresses), customer transaction records (order history, basket, invoices, returns and support requests, quote and stock-alert records), transaction security data (IP address, session and access logs, browser and device information) and, subject to your explicit consent, marketing preferences. Your payment card details are never stored by the Company; payments run through the 3D Secure infrastructure of licensed payment institutions and banks.
We process this data to establish and perform the distance sales contract, prepare and deliver your order, issue invoices and meet tax obligations, create and manage your account, respond to requests and complaints, run returns, exchange and warranty processes, maintain information security and prevent fraud, and answer lawful requests from competent authorities. Commercial electronic messages are sent only with your explicit consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
The legal bases are those in KVKK art. 5/2 - performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations, establishment or protection of rights, and legitimate interests - and otherwise your explicit consent. Data is collected via our website forms, cookies, e-mail and phone channels, and showroom visits.
Your data is never sold or rented. It is shared only as necessary: with cargo and furniture-logistics companies for delivery, banks and payment institutions for collection, accountants and auditors for legal obligations, hosting and IT infrastructure providers for technical operation, and competent public authorities upon lawful request. Data is retained for the duration of the relationship and statutory limitation periods (10 years for accounting records, 3 years for commercial-communication consents), then deleted, destroyed or anonymised.
Under KVKK art. 11 you may learn whether your data is processed, request information, correction or deletion, know the third parties it is transferred to, object to purely automated analysis and claim compensation for unlawful processing. Submit requests with proof of identity to info@gardenist.com.tr or in writing to our postal address; we respond free of charge within thirty days.
