This page explains how returns, withdrawal and exchanges work for purchases from the Gardenist website, within the framework of Turkish Consumer Law No. 6502 and the Distance Contracts Regulation - so that you can exercise your rights in full and face no surprises in processes specific to large furniture items.
For in-stock items, you may withdraw from the contract without reason within 14 days of delivery, by writing to info@gardenist.com.tr with your order number. However, under art. 15 of the Regulation, the right of withdrawal does not apply to goods prepared to the customer's specifications. A substantial part of the Gardenist collection is made to order in your chosen configuration; every item where you select fabric, colour, size, module combination or finish falls within this exception and is clearly marked "made to order" on the product page and order confirmation. Items that cannot be returned for hygiene reasons once unpacked are likewise excluded.
To qualify for return, an item must be unused, unassembled, unwashed and undamaged, sent complete with its original packaging, protection materials, labels and accessories, together with the invoice. Any loss of value beyond ordinary inspection may be deducted from the refund. The process is simple: after your written notice, we send a return code and our contracted carrier's details; hand the item to the carrier within 10 days. Returns via our contracted carrier are free of charge; alternative carriers are at your own cost and risk. Once the item reaches our warehouse and is checked, the product price and standard delivery costs are refunded within 14 days of your notice, via your original payment method.
Large items ship with insured furniture logistics. Inspect any visibly damaged packaging before accepting delivery and have the carrier draw up a damage report; without a report, transport-damage claims must reach us with photographs within 3 days of delivery. For manufacturing defects, your statutory remedies under art. 11 of Law 6502 - free repair, replacement, price reduction or rescission - remain reserved. All products carry a 2-year warranty against manufacturing defects, excluding misuse, care-instruction violations, normal wear and the natural patina of materials such as teak.
Eligible in-stock items may be exchanged instead of returned, with any price difference charged or refunded. Disputes fall to Consumer Arbitration Committees and Consumer Courts within the monetary limits announced by the Ministry of Trade.
